About Me

Justin Miller-Schulze is originally from Pacifica, California, just south of San Francisco on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. His academic career trail passed through community college (Foothill College in Los Altos, CA, and Sierra College in Rocklin, CA) before moving on to UC-San Diego and the University of Washington, Seattle. Justin had postdoctoral appointments at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the Center for Urban Waters at the University of Washington, Tacoma, prior to joining the faculty at Sacramento State in 2014. When not in the lab or in class, Justin enjoys riding his bicycle, playing (basketball) and watching sports, hiking and backpacking, reading, working on his house, and cooking, or chasing he and his wife’s son, two cats and one dog around.
